We know TIMMS software is being used across timber wholesalers, retailers, sawmillers and producers but it’s also making a name in other industries. We spoke with John Menagh recently (CEO of Disprax) and he told us about a large chemical wholesaler/importer that has been using TIMMS for over 10 years. And while the stock is different, the need to manage it along with purchases, sales and the General Ledger is just the same as any business. We asked John what this meant for everyone working at ISM. “One small example is that instead of keeping track of product information that was kept in 3 different locations, they now have a single PDF document attached to the product master file. But a larger example is the way they are using eCommerce to control their warehousing logistics, which is quite unique and very effective.” John went on to say that “It was an exciting project to be involved in as we got to work with them to determine which processes could be streamlined, and how TIMMS could support each part of their business growth plan.
