Import Management

Import management provides the facilities to control the importing and shipping process from the time of placement of a purchase order to the time that all stock has been received and either sold or transferred into warehouse stock.

The import module is used for full identification, tracking and costing of imports. It provides identification at all levels from the name of the vessel, voyage, bills of lading, down to individual marks and packs.

The module allows you to create and maintain information relating to vessel allocation, shipment details, mark detail, allocations to sales, transfers to stocks, and shipment costing details.

Importing and shipping information is available via the enquiry facilities in the TIMMS order entry and inventory management modules.
